Changing Room Try On: Yours Clothing Store Birmingham

I’m off work for another few days so yesterday I took myself off to the Bullring in Birmingham to check out the brand new Yours Clothing store.

If you’re plus size you know just how difficult it is to be able to shop on the high street in actual stores so when a new one opens I’m always so excited to try it out.

The store has been put together beautifully. Lots of rails of lovely items styled perfectly, well lit, plenty of room to move about, nice changing rooms and the staff can’t do enough for you. As I had no where to be in a hurry I took my time and picked up bundles of clothes which the staff took from me and hung out in my own little changing room for when I was ready to go and try on and my, did I have a dress up session and here’s what I tried on (excuse the mis-matched shoes, I couldn’t be bothered to take my boots off!)…

Such a casual but glam item, the sleeves and the embellishment make this really pop!
Just lovely! The jewelled collar is so well detailed and lovely quality.

I bought this and the matching knickers, I haven’t had a matching lingerie set for years as I can never get both items in my sizes. I don’t understand why Yours only do a select few of their bras in a 46G so when I found this one in my size I snapped it up. More bras in a 46G please Yours!

Oh man, this outfit, I LOVE! I only bought the kimono (because of course I needed ANOTHER kimono!) as I loved the longline back detail but now looking back at these pics I wish I’d also bought the top and the jeggings but I just couldn’t afford it all. The jeggings were a real surprise, they are legging material but they have a button and zip fly on them to make them extra comfy, nice wardrobe staple if you’re after a good pair for the autumn (they also have them in black which you *may* be able to get away with for workwear if your office is a little bit casual!).
Jeggings (as above)
Another fabulous autumn outfit, I’ve been after the perfect tartan shirt for ages and I’ve found it so this is also one of the items I bought. I like to have length in my shirts to cover my belly and this one has it and the cut works really well on my busty shape, instead of being boyish it nips me in at the waist and gives me that v-neckline for a bit of cleavage. PERFECT!
Now on to the pretty dresses…

I’ve looked at this dress online for ages without ever buying it and it was nice to be able to get to grips with it in store so I took the plunge and tried it on. It’s safe to say I LOVE IT! I honestly thought the colour would be too much but it’s just stunning. I can imagine turning all sorts of heads in this, I wish I’d had bought it but alas, my bank account didn’t permit but maybe soon I’ll be able to get my hands on it. A truly stunning item.
Beautiful dress which will never go out of fashion. I really want this too as I know it will be a go to item season after season!
…and last but not least the item that I never thought I’d love but I NEED this in my wardrobe so badly, the fur coat of dreams…

I’ve always stayed away from faux furs as I always worried they’d make me look really bulky and boxy (not that I care much for flattering but you know what I mean). This however is just beautiful. So warm and cosy but with an effortless ‘glam’ edge to it. I walked around the store stroking it before I tried it on and then when I did get it on I didn’t want to take it off. I paired it with the monochrome dress as I thought this would make a lovely Chrimbo outfit paired together. I really, really, really, really, REALLY want this coat!
If
you haven’t shopped with them yet, first of all why not? And secondly
pop along to them now and use my special code ‘BLOGGER23’ to give you
£10 off a £20 spend*
. Maybe I’ve inspired you to treat yourself to some
of these lovely pieces (make sure there’s some left for me!).
So
many awesome items! I came away with the bra and matching knickers, the
check shirt and the longline kimono but given the option I’d have
walked away with it all. You all know I have a massive love for Yours
Clothing as they’re really great at bringing big trends to plus size in a
huge range of sizes.
