Footwear Week - Evans Part 2

Afternoon my lovelies!

So this is the last post in my little footwear week!

Those of you whom have been reading and have gotten to know me through the time I've been blogging will know that I'm a bit of a good time girl, I can't resist a party, a night out and a glass of wine or 5, so of course, the last post in this round-up has to be the party heel!

With the party season nigh I know us girlies are all already in full swing looking for our perfect party outfit (I know I definitely am) and with any outfit goes a great pair of heels!

The guys over at Evans sent me a really pretty pair of satin peeptoe wedges to try out. I must admit, when I opened the box I thought to myself '...these really aren't for me.' But, I tried them on, gave them a wander around the house and the more I wore them the more I liked them. They are super comfortable and really easy to wear. I've imagined wearing them with a lovely long, elegant maxi dress I think they'd make the perfect combination with a really feminine dress. What do you reckon? They also have them in a dramatic deep red satin.

The second pair of heels I wanted to show you are also from Evans, but I actually bought these from their Birmingham store to go out in for my birthday last month. I ADORE THESE SHOES! There, I had to let that out! They are perfect, the glittery glam heel, the zips, the open 'V' shaped front just love, love, LOVE them! I've worn these quite a bit so far, with jeans, with skirts, with dresses they are the business and definitely worth £35! These will be partying with me for a long time yet! Mahoooooooooosive thumbs up for these Evans!

I've also noticed a couple of other beauties they have at the moment, currently lusting after these badboys.....

Anyway, I'm currently suffering from last nights partying antics (dressed as a tiger too, which I promise I will show you sometime this week!) so I'm off to go and recover! I really hope you've enjoyed my footwear week!

Footwear Week - Evans Part 1

Evenin' my lovelies!

This is the second post in my little footwear week I'm having at the moment.

Like I said in my last post (which I hope you liked!) I have been sent some awesome pretties for my tootsies just recently and I'm so pleased I am finally getting to show you.

A short while ago the folks over at Evans asked if I'd like to have a sneak peak at some of their new footwear for the Autumn/Winter season. They sent me some lovely shoes, which have kept me very happy for work and play!

In this first post I wanted to show you the the practical 'work' shoes that they sent me. I need something practical, durable and comfortable for work and if all of that is encompassed in a pretty little package then I'm sold! I'm not one for skyscraper heels, they're great on other people, but with being a bus wanker and having to do a lot of walking they just aren't sensible (yeh I know, I never thought I'd get to that age where I'd be going for the 'sensible' option!).

These cute ribbon detailed block heels are my absolute fave of the bunch, I get so many compliments on these and they go so well with all my cute little dresses.

I also received these bow wedges, which again are perfectly practical and cute for bus wankers going to work.....

...finally I also received these block buckle heels, but unfortunately these came in a size that didn't fit me, so I've been unable to wear them, but they are so adorable and have a real vintage feel.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before on here, but for whatever other whinges I may have about Evans I have always been a fan of their footwear, their varying widths work well for me and also their heels aren't too high but are always equally as glamourous as anywhere else! Looking forward to showing you the party shoes I have from them in my next post!

To the Evans footwear team, keep up the good work!

Which are your favourite styles? What would you like to see more of from Evans footwear?

P.S They currently have upto 25% off selected shoes and boots!

Footwear Week - Jileon Wide Calf Wellies....

Ello my lovelies!

God I have been rubbish this year so far haven't I? Everytime I blog theres an excuse for why I haven't blogged for so long, I can honestly tell you though this time it has really been a pain in the arse. My handbag which had my phone in it was stolen a few weeks ago whilst I was out for my birthday as I mentioned in my last post, one of my main annoyances with the whole debacle was the fact that I had taken loads of pics for up and coming blog posts which I hadn't backed up! So I had all these post ideas and reviews and things and all the pics ready for them and they all went with the phone! My words of wisdom boys and girls? Always back your shiz up!

Anyway I've been wanting to do this footwear week for a while, I have been gifted some awesome pieces for my tootsies by some great retailers and I wanted to show them all off a while ago, but unfortunately this has been hindered by the loss of my phone and even more recently, a broken laptop. My laptop is now working again and I also have a new iPhone, YAY, so, let's get cracking!

First up on footwear week I want to show you something that has been nothing more than an urban myth to me until recently, the wide calf wellie.....

The lovely folk over at Jileon.com contacted me a while back and asked for my input on designs for something new they were putting together, extra wide calf wellies. As we conversed it came to light that these new wellies were going to be aimed at those of us with really large calves, I have to admit, I was sceptical that these would ever fit me, I've heard it all before, promises of wide fitting boots that merely fit those on the 'chubby' scale and totally disregard those of us with much ampler limbs.

Cardigan - H&M+
Jeggings - Evans
Floral Top - So old I can't remember!

Well, what can I say, when they arrived I was pleasantly suprised, they slid on beautifully, no awkward faffing about trying to squeeze excess skin into them, no pinching, no awkward excess at the ankles, plenty of room, comfortable, flexible, soft, sturdy and absolutely brilliant! I have to say, I am a little bit in love with them. I even have room to wear thick socks with them without a problem! Amazing! They'd totally fit someone with calves even larger than mine! Easily another inch or two's room!

My only groan with them, is something I know the team are working on as best they can, the buckles that are used to adjust can be a little bit fiddly, especially if you are on the larger side like me and have issues getting round your boobs and your belly to adjust them, other than that they are utterly brilliant!

If you are an outdoorsy type, dog walker, bonfire night lover, festival go'er, or just a crazy who likes to jump in puddles and have calves as big as mine and have struggled to find a pair of wellies that truly fit you properly (my calves are 20-21 inches!) then seriously think of investing in these, they will last you forever! At the moment they have them in this cute polka dot print and a vintage floral print and are priced at £49.99 (I know that sounds steep but I'm not lying when I say they will be worth the price for the comfort and wear you will get from them!).

Well done Jileon, great product! I'm looking forward to seeing more prints and styles in the future, star print maybe?

I'll wear Gold if I want to.....

 Ello Lovelies!

I wanted to show you a couple of outfits I've worn just recently. I was going to do them in separate posts but unfortunately I had my phone stolen last week which had all the photo's I had taken on it.

It was my birthday last week and I had an awesome few days, I saw loads of friends, I went on the Harry Potter Studio Tour (I'm a big fan if I've never told you before) and I had an awesome night out last Saturday to celebrate which was going well until some fucker stole my handbag! Typical!

I'm also having a few other technological difficulties, the laptop I usually blog off is broken, so the one I am trying to use at the moment doesn't seem to like working in harmony with blogger so it's proving difficult to stay connected to you all at the moment between having no Iphone and laptops that don't work! (If anyone, or any company fancies donating to the 'Naomi Needs New Technology Fund' hit me up on my email address! Haha!). But I'm here right now and I'm trying!

Anyway down to the outfits...

First off I just wanted to show you that I do wear something other than dresses and leggings. When I went out for the day with my Grant, I donned a pair of jeans (shock horror!). I had picked up this super comfy pair of jeggings from Evans and I love them, so I needed to give them a shout out! All I ask is, Evans, I beg you, please start doing your coloured denim in your different leg lengths so us short arses can start wearing them!

Myself & Grant outside the Great Hall doors at the Harry Potter Studio Tour.

Then there was this lovely red Evans Skater dress which I picked up at their Marble Arch store launch the other week. I got this dress home and I had that horrible annoyance of realising the dress was the right size on the hanger but when I got it home and looked at the tag it was a size smaller! Luckily it still fits and fits well, but I did have a bit of a wobble when I realised and got a little bit worried that it didn't look O.K, but the lovely guys over on my Twitter feed assured me it was fine, thanks you lot!

Waterfall Blazer Jacket - New Look Inspire (Size 26)
Belt - Evans (medium)
Black Wedge Heels  - New Look (Size 6 wide fit)
Clutch - Primark

I whacked it on to go out for cocktails with a few friends of mine last Friday, quite a versatile piece which I've been wearing loads since I had it. It's great to dress up and dress down. It's on sale for £35 which if I'm honest, I don't think it's worth as the material is quite thin, so if you manage to get it on a discount or you just really like it then go for it. I also wore it yesterday with black tights, knee boots and a biker jacket which looked great just for hanging around town and is really comfy! A great dress which I'm sure I will be getting loads of wear from! It's also available in black if you aren't brave enough for red (but be brave ladies! Be brave!).

And last but not least is this, the dress that took me a lot of balls (and rum) to wear! Now, you know me, I like lots of colour and I like clothes which make a statement but this dress even pushed me out of my comfort zone! I'd spotted it in the Very So Fabulous range about a month ago and it was out of stock for ages! It finally became available again and I asked the parental unit if they would buy it me for my birthday.

Black Tights - We Love Colors

It arrived, and it was even more bold and in your face than how it looked on the website! The gold foil print made sure there was no way I was going to be missed. I had a few disapproving stares, but fuck 'em, it's my birthday and I'll wear gold if I want to, deal with it! (Made my bum look great I reckon!). This again is a dress which also comes in black, but if you want a real bobby dazzler, statement dress then this is a cracker! The jersey is really good quality, it's not thin, it's really stretchy and I'd say it's worth it's worth every penny of the £32 price tag. Maybe one for the Chrimbo parties girls? Only thing I'd say is if you want a more drapey, loose fit then size up! I teamed it up with black tights, glorious glitter heeled shoe boots from Evans (which you can't see but I am going to show you very soon, technology permitting!) and my enormous Jane Norman gold clutch (which got stolen!).

So that's my little birthday outfit round up. I still had an awesome time even though I did get robbed! Just sad I can't show you more pics!

I'm gonna have a footwear week on here very soon as I have some bits to show you all, keep your eyes peeled! Right now, I'm off to drink some more tea and have a clear out!

BIG LOVE!
