Simply Be & Simply Yours SS 2012 Launch

Hi lovelies!

I wanted to put a little post together to tell you about the recent event I attended for Simply Be & Simply Yours! I was invited along for a preview of their 2012 Spring/Summer ranges for both of the brands and couldn't say no!

I am a massive fan of Simply Yours lingerie, with a mah
ooooooosive 46G bosom myself, I find they are one of the very few brands whom deliver a decent range of underwear to hold my badboys firmly in place and looking lovely!

The range had some really cute quirky pieces such as the Union Jack set which pays homage to the up and coming 2012 Olympic games, exclusive to Simply Yours and there was also a massive nod to much more girly vintagey type pi
eces which were beautiful.

The Simply Be range was also no disappointment! My favourite pieces being a really fun and floaty yellow star print tunic, which of course, I cannot wait to get my hands on and this beautiful chiffon floral dress, simply stunning for a s
ummer night!

There was a huge emphasis on the colour-blocking trend through their accessories, such as the oversized pink and turquoise clutches and these amazing
strappy heels! A great trend all year round, any piece from this accessory line will last you FOREVER! I am primping for the oversized turquoise clutch to put with that amazing yellow star tunic!

But my overall fave part of the collections showcased was the swimwear! SO MUCH UNDERWIRE! YAY!!!!!!!!! As I was being shown the
railing of sample swimwear I was so excited to see so much of it with underwire, this is a big thing for me as so many plus size retailers get this so, so, so wrong! The amount of swimwear pieces I have bought in the past which contain padding (I know! WTF!) or no support what so ever is unreal! My size 28 frame needs support for my 46G boobs when undertaking a good old breast stroke, nevermind making me looking like Katie Price or giving me droopy spaniels ear boobies!

My absolute fave two pieces were the leopard print tankini in this fabulous colour scheme, and the gorgeously retro/pinup-esque polka dot mock 2 pi
ece! I honestly cannot wait for the catalogue to come out so we can all have a good old lust after all the fabulous items coming our way! Hurry up Simply Be!

Amongst enjoying coo'ing over gorgeous clothes, I managed to get my mani on, gossip with other awesome blogger girlies and have a good ol' chat with the oh so lovely Charlotte of the Simply Be team! Oh and got mega embarrassed after seeing myself on the promo vid on screen, which was taken after far too many glasses of champagne at their Liverpool store opening (my accent is appalling! Ohdear!).

Thanks for an awesome day Simply Be and Simply Yours! Cannot wait to see more!

Big Love

Seeing Stars OOTD! So Fabulous @ Very.co.uk

Hi lovelies!

It's so good to be finally giving you a little outfit of the day! I am so rubbish at taking photos of my outfits, but after having a good old natter yesterday with the very awesome Em of Boombands, I decided sod it, if I have an outfit on and I'm lovin' it, you can have a good old mirror shot!

I clapped eyes on a fabulous star print tunic from Very's plus size range, So Fabulous, and I had to have it immediately! I am a sucker for star print and I am so glad it has come back around so quickly! I remember star print being around a couple of years ago, so when Dolce and Gabbana re-released this gorgeous cosmic delight on their 2011/2012 Autumn/Winter trend I was so excited when I saw it start trickling onto the high street!

The tunic is in a really comfy jersey fabric which hangs beautifully, I sized up as I wanted a really relaxed fit, it has great batwing-esque sleeves and has an elasticated fitted waist. The star print on the website pictures looks white, but in actuality it is a beige colour. I love it! Love, love love love it!

I wore it yesterday to the Simply Be launch of their Spring/Summer 2012 range, which I will post about in the next couple of days. I teamed it with my rust coloured leggings, biker jacket and some little flat suede shoes, comfy and chic me thinks! What do you think?

Star Print Tunic - £25 So Fabulous @ Very.co.uk
Leggings - ASOS Curve (Best leggings ever btw!)
Biker Jacket - Evans
Necklaces - Primark
Ring - Primark

GlossyBox!

Evenin' Lovelies!

How are we all today? I have just got home from a super long day at work, its tough at the moment but I'm getting through (just about!), but I have just walked in the door and before even sitting down my eyes fell upon the GlossyBox sat on my kitchen counter that Mr Postman has delivered for me today! YAY!

The lovely peoples over at the GlossyBox team very kindly offered to send me a box to review and well, I jumped at the chance! Now, as you know, I do lik
e to delve into the odd bit of beauty blogging, being a massive girly girl and a fan of lotions, potions and new remedies to try so it was only right to give it a go! I have received October's box which includes:
  • Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Thermafoliant
  • Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Power Recover Masque
  • Leighton Denny Expert Nails, Nail Polish
  • Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner
  • Robert Piguet Eau De Parfums
  • Dermalogica Ager Smart Renewal Lip Complex (With beauty bag)
I have to say I really love this box and I love the GlossyBox concept. For £10 a month you can be delivered 5 trial size luxury items to play with! For me, I have always wanted to try Dermalogica but haven't really had the cash to splash out on a full size item at the drop of a hat without knowing if it works for me or not, so this is perfect. If I like the item I can go and purchase it either via the GlossyBox website or elsewhere, everyone's a winner! I have even discovered brands I hadn't heard of, like Leighton Denny (yeh I know, where have I been?!).

As you can see the box arrived beautifully packaged in a lovely gift box, tissue covered inside all tied up with a little pink ribbon, really luxurious and perfect if you wanted to get one of these as a gift for somebody, I know I would be really pleased to receive one!
(Hint hint lads!). I was thinking about the gift subscriptions for this and have just tweeted the GlossyBox team suggesting that maybe they could look into offering gift vouchers as part of a gift subscription package so if you were lucky enough to receive a box and found something you loved, you could go and treat yourself with the vouchers received too! But this is just an idea I have thrown at them.....who knows aye!? They also have a rewards scheme going on, where you can earn 'GlossyDots' which you can collect to get yourself a free box, friend recommendations and reviewing products will earn your dots and get you on your way to a freebie!

I am yet to try the items, but am very much looking forward to giving them a go, but I do definitely recommend checking them out and seeing if it's for you! I would love to hear your thoughts! So, go go go!

P.S theres also a quarterly GlossyBox offered for all you metrosexual males!

BIG LOVE!

Tights Tight Tights! The Big Bloomers Company!

Ello lovelies!

I have been meaning to post about these fabulous people for a couple of weeks now but have been a very busy lady!

You all know my rant about tights for us plus sizers, and especially when you are of a certain size getting tights is just an absolute nightmare! I recently discovered The Big Bloomers Company and, although the range of tights is limited at the moment, they have ones that actually fit me!!! FANTASTIC!! They were kind enough to send me 3 pairs of their Supersize tights in barely black! Whilst I haven't had chance to wear them just yet, I wanted to give you a heads up to them as they are fantastic!

Super, super stretchy, roomy and comfortable! Non of that awful crotch riding down business and you can get them properly over your tummy and hips! They even go up to a 9XL (100" hips)!!!!

They have recently added a new range in a 20 denier in jet black, barely black, mink and tan and if you are unsure you can try a pair for just £1! So I am currently off over there to order mine! If you are a plus sizer who struggles with tights like I do, then seriously try them out. I just hope they start getting in some fun colours and styles too, then everything will be complete for me!

As soon as I put an outfit together with them I will show you! Can't wait! :)

They also ship worldwide!

Girl about town OOTD!

Evening lovelies!

As promised, a little catch up post with you all! After Daily Fail debacle I really wanted my last post 'My Health, My Business' to hold some ground for a while and be quite visible. I really did feel quite strongly about that and wanted any traffic that came this way from the article to see it. Whether they scoffed at it, made fun of me or what, I don't care but I did want to make sure my thoughts were out there.

Anyway, onto moi! As usual I have been busy working away. I have been in training at work as there have been some changes to my role (I work in a customer service complaints team for a large bank if you didn't know.) So I have been coming home feeling a bit brainwashed from that in all honesty. But, this past weekend I did have a lovely time letting my hair down and catching up with a very special person, whom I hear you cry? Well, for now I am going to be keeping that under wraps (but I can't keep my mouth shut very long and it's probably blatantly obvious to most of you! LOL!). We stayed in a really lovely hotel in Birmingham called the Macdonald Burlington where the staff were wonderful. We had awesome munch at good old Nando's, gotta love it and frolicked with the fishes at the Sealife Centre! Muchos fun!

In the midst of all that I did also have chance to do a little bit of shopping, I picked up a really cute floral dress and a pair of teal ballet pumps from New Look in Birmingham city centre. A bargain in all honesty! What do you reckon? I pretty much j'adore the dress!

Floral Printed Dress - New Look £16.99 (Bargain!!!!)
Teal Ballet Pump - New Look £12.99 (Bargain!!!!)

I loved the shape this dress gave me, I love when something really nips in at the waist and gives that lovely hourglass shape like I felt this did on me. Also very in love with all the jewel tones this season so the ballet pumps were a must as soon as I saw them! New Look has lots of them in all different colours so I would seriously check those out, spesh for the bargain price!

Anyway here is a little picture round up of the weekend!

I had a really lovely time, as you can see lots of yummy noms were involved! And the jellyfish really intrigued me! Don't overlook Birmingham guys, seriously, it's not all chavs and cuppa tea's! Lol! The German Xmas Markets will be along soon and they are a fantastic day out that really gets you in the festive mood! Check them out!!!

Lastly, I needed to give this a mention. I got home a few days ago and checked my emails, I came across an email from a reader of the blog, Andrew, when I opened the email I was wowed. This lovely fella had taken the time to do this amazing canvas of me!!!! I cannot believe how seriously talented he is and I just want to say a massive thank you for it, I can't wait till it arrives! Andy you are a star and if you decide to start doing commissions I am more than happy to start promoting you! What do you think of it guys?!

Anyway, I am off to eat supernoodles and sort my horrid hair out (I really need to sort it, really need a change, any ideas as to what I should do with it, please drop me some inspiration!). Until next time guys...

BIG LOVE!
