Let me refer you over to an awesome amount of fabulousness.....

Hi guys!

Just a quickie from me, But I loved the latest post by Dee over at The Merry Traveller so much that I felt I had to refer you all over there to have a nosey (if you haven't already seen it!) Dee set everyone a challenge to 'Dress Up Your Denim' in anyway you could and my, haven't the girls stepped up to the plate! My personal fave is the outfit put together by the very awesome Katrin of http://reizende-rundungen.blogspot.com/. I love her edgy, rock chick look, she's so creative with her outfits and totally inspires me! Please Katrin, DRESS ME!!!!!

I love denim, but Ive pretty much edged away from it recently (as I mentioned in my last post) as I seem to favour the super comfort of leggings instead, but I am totally inspired by these ladies now, and I may, (if funds allow) treat myself to some awesome denim and jump on the bandwagon! Some of my fave denim pieces at the mo are....

...And my must have after being totally inspired by Katrin.....

Go take a peek guys!

Sunday Service OOTD & eBay sale!

Evenin' lovelies!

So how have you all been this week?

Its Sunday, day of rest and rest is exactly what I have done indeed! It's been a crazy week at work so I was looking forward to just switching my brain off this weekend and slobbing about. Im also trying to save some cash as I've got some real
ly exciting weekends coming up. Although, the saving money bit hasn't gone entirely to plan....

Friday night I went out to a friends 30th birthday party. In true Naomi style I got a little bit drunk (Ok, verrrrrrrrrrrry drunk.) I got home around 1am, stumbled up the stairs to bed and pretty much passed out for the night, un-be-known to me of what I actually did in my inebriated haze!

So I wake up the next morning, mom comes into my room....

"What time did you get in?" mom says,
"About 1ish, why?" I reply,
"Did you order a pizza?"
"Errrrrr no? I dont think so anyway...."

"Well why was some strange man banging the door at 3am trying to deliver one?"
"Hmmmmmmmm I have no idea, what did you say to h
im?"
"I told him to piss off and stop banging my door, no on
e wants his pizza.....!"

Uh-oh, so I check my email, oh hello receipt for 15 quid, for a pizza I never actually had! In my stupid drunken haze, I somehow managed to get in my house, order a pizza online and then fuck off to bed and pass out, only for my mother to shout
abuse at the man delivering it...saving money this weekend? I think not......

So that's pretty much how it panned out. I did a spot of shopping on Saturday afternoon with my friend, but I think I was so grieved over literally pissing 15 quid down the drain that I couldn't bare to spend on anything else, well apart from 2 b
ottles of Barry M nail polish, a new mini suitcase and a foundation, I think I was pretty restrained! :)

Ive never really been one for painting my nails, but just recently I have been massively inspired by the lovely Georgina of Cupcakes Clothes. Now, my skills ar
e no where near hers and never will be, but looking at her posts of her fabulously creative nails made me want to add a splash of colour to mine, behold, my minty green digits...

So because Ive had a pretty relaxed weekend, my outfit today has reflected that, I have donned my 'comfies', we all have them! A while ago I boug
ht the 'Mink Drapey Utility' trousers from Evans, just for a change as I am forever in leggings and little dresses and tunics, and I have pretty much shunned jeans. I was pretty sure that they would arrive and I would hate them, I never seem to be able to get the look right with all these hareems and baggy crotch type bottoms and end up sending them back or wearing them for bed! I ended up pleasantly surprised with these, they have become my casual staple just lately, so much so I worry that people are going to notice that I wear them so much.

The soft cotton material of them is so beautiful and light, they flow and drape so gorgeously, I wear them all the time with my sequin Primark flats and a vest of some sort. Here they are...(Please excuse crappy phone pics, I'm not the photographer that
a lot of you are!)

I know I'm not looking particularly fantastic, so please forgive the lack of glam in this outfit post, but its a Sunday and the only thing I was going for was pure, unadulterated comforty, bliss! The bottoms look more grey in these pics but I can assure you that they are a lovely mink colour, they have jersey cuffs and an elasticated jersey waistband. They are a total win for me, I need to work out some other ways to wear them though. I have tried dressing them up with heels but I'm not sure I like the look I created, I'm a little bit more girly and fitted and revealing when it comes to my night out outfits, I just cant help it! *te he he*

So that was the outfit I chose to sit around, cook for the fam (honey and mustard baked chicken! *nom nom nom*) and do a bit of an eBay sale! Yup, thats right, I have finally got round to putting some bits and pieces on the old auction site! Items include a really awesome dress from Torrid and some really nice tailored shorts from New Look! So be sure to have a look at my wares ;)...

Buy my shiz!!!!

So anyway, Im hungry, and bedtime will be fast approaching and Monday will begin again *sigh*, so Im offskii! I am awaiting the arrival of my fantabuous Lucie Lu dresses and can't wait to show them to you! But for now bloggies,

Night Night and Big Love!

A girl my size shouldn't......

Evening my lovelies!

I haven't forgotten you at all! I promise! I know that Ive been a bad girl and neglected you, but I promise (I know this is the second promise I have made) that I will be better this time around. For any of you who follow me on twitter, you will know Ive had a lot of personal stuff going on just recently, which has led to me being severely
uninspired and a bit run down to be honest. But I am back now, and I ain't leaving you! Pinky promise! *bats lashes*

Anyway, first of all last week I went out into town f
or a few drinks for a friends birthday (as you do). I got myself all ready and descended downstairs to the dreaded lounge. Now, I say the dreaded lounge because you can guarantee, mom is going to be sitting there waiting to give the 'critique' out, and my, she'd have given old Mr Cowell a run for his money this time. I stepped into the living room and waited for it, nothing was said. So I turn and say "So, what do you think?" I wish Id never asked, the response...

"Don't you think you should put some tights on? A girl your size shouldn't be wearing a s
kirt that short!"

'A girl your size shouldn't', 'A girl your size shouldn't'. I kept turning those words over in my head 'A girl your size shouldn't'. Wow, I thought, just wow! To be honest, I couldn't even answer her, or respond in any way what so ever. Luckily my taxi pulled up and I slicked on a on a smile and flounced off. I'm not going to lie, those words stuck in my head and pretty much permeated through every nerve of my brain. But it got me thinking, who said a girl of size shouldn't wear X,Y, Z? Who actually made up that rule? Why do we endeavour to live by some bull shit code of what we should and shouldn't wear? How we should and shouldn't look? Who we should and shouldn't date? Who we should or shouldn't be? Who said so? WHO?!

Do people not realise that there are worse things going on in the world than 'OMGZ'ED A FAT GIRL IN A SHORT SKIRT!?!?!?' I mean reall
y, I am not so self-absorbed as to believe that if I go out, bare legged and wearing something that, dare I say it, is above my knee that everyone is actually there giving a fuck about it and me. I don't care and neither should you or anyone for that matter. So I suppose, in essence what I am trying to say is for gods sake, life is to short to care about who thinks you should be following some invisible fat girl code of conduct, trying our best to swamp ourselves in swarms of tent like fabric in efforts to not draw attention to ourselves. I refuse to and so should you. Don't pander to that self fulfilling prophecy of 'they think I'm ugly so I will be ugly', stick two fingers up and just be you ladies. Please, for gods sake, lets just start breaking moulds instead of living in them...

So, mom, I love you, but when it comes to your 'A girl your size shouldn't...' code of conduct, please stick it somewhere the sun does not shine.......[and breathe].

There, I said it, the rant that has swamped my br
ain for the past week, now, on to the offending outfit. Here I am, wearing, 'dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuun' a skirt that barely hits my knee, sacriledge....

Skirt - ASOS Curve (Last season)
Cardigan - George @ Asda £10

Vest Top - H&M BiB £7.99
Belt - Evans £5 (Winter sale)

Wedge Heel Court Shoes - New Look £14.99

Bag & Necklace - Primark £1 and £3

I haven't linked to anything today because it is all stuff from past seasons, nothing is current, you may find it knocking about in a sale somewhere or on good old eBay though! I have to say, if it hadn't been for my dear old Mom putting her two pennies in, I didn't feel too bad in this outfit. But meh, mothers aye!!

Oh, so, after ranty ranty, next thing on my agenda to talk about is my fabulous win from the lovely Valerie over at Blog To Be Alive! I entered her recent blog giveaway and was thrilled to have won a $100 gift certificate for the fabulous plus size store Lucie Lu!

I have to say, I had never heard of the store before, but after discovering it through Valerie's blog I was pretty much smitten with it. I really really love some of their dresses and I am currently torn over which one to splash out on with my voucher, what do you think? Here are the options I am mulling over....

I must say, I am coo'ing over the lace party dress, It called to me as soon as I saw the image, it is so me and so feminine and girly and just beautiful. I remember seeing one similar in Simply Be a couple of years ago and kicked myself for not getting it, so when I saw this one I was like 'OMG, I love!' but I know it'll end up as one of those dresses I only wear on a night out or something, so I am debating getting one of the other two as I think I'd get more wear out of them? What impressed me is that their sizing run to a 5X and also each individual item has its own size chart and a description of if it runs true to size, small or large etc. Which I thought was a brilliant idea and a great help! Anyway, check out Lucie Lu, and as soon as I order and receive I will let you know what I think! I am really loving independant boutiques at the moment, it's a shame we don't have a few more! Along with Lucie Lu I am totally loving Domino Dollhouse, I am yet to order from them but can't wait to try them out, espesh after seeing the lovely Tiffany Kaelin from On The Fatwalk doing a fierce pin-up style shoot for them!

Right, I am gonna bow out, but I will be back soon! Promise! Oh actually, before I go, I wanted to say, I am proper lovin' the blog She Likes Shoes! Check it out, love this girls style!

Thats enough from me,

BIG LOVE AND NIGHT NIGHT BLOGGIES!

I *heart* Spring!

So, is it me, or does it feel like winter has gone on for like FOREVER this time around?!?! I feel like Ive been getting up in the dark and going to work in the dark and coming home, in the dark for the past 10 years or something! Maybe that has what has been adding to my lack of blog-spiration at the moment? (Which I apologise profusely for!)

So, the last few days, with that tiny hint of sunshine gleaming through our windows, has perked up my outlook somewhat and had me all excited about wearing pretty colourful clothes and cute shoes! Ive noticed around the office over the past day or two that the girlies are starting to don pretty dresses and it made me smile. Me being a massive girly girl cannot resist a floral print, a pretty tea dress or cute ballet flats, they are what I reside in probably 85% of my clothed life at the moment, but I am always on the hunt for the wardrobe to be extended of these pieces, so after a little nosey around the t'interwebs I found a few of my fave super cute floral bits and pieces...

There are absolutely loads more things around that I like but those few stood out to me, I foresee myself owning the sequin bag and I may try get my hands on that Forever 21 cardigan. Im yet to purchase an item of clothing from them so I think I may have to take the plunge sometime soon, but like I think I have mentioned before, they're pricing and quality is something to be desired in my opinion, hmmmmmmm. What are you all eyeing up at the moment? Id love to hear whats getting your votes this coming season....

Also on the grapevine I hear the release of the H&M Inclusive range is this Thursday coming, I know for myself alot of the pieces will not fit (me being over and above a size 24) but I am definitely going to be having a look to see what they have done with it and how it is looking, I know a lot of bloggers are really excited about it and it was great to see some of the samples at the Plus London blogger meet, so eagerly awatching this space! Let me know what you think of it!

Oh and to round up, Im thinking of having a little giveaway and maybe a challenge? As I have been severely lacking on the posting just recently Im thinking of things to keep me in check and get me motivated, anybody have any ideas of a weekly challenge I could do to keep me blogging? Answers in the comments box, and if any other blogs are interested maybe we could make it a group thing?! Ohhhhh Im excited!

Anyway, I promise to post again soon! I am busy this weekend, checking in with friends birthdays etc, but I promise to post any gossip and any good outfits! But for now bloggies....

BIG LOVE!
